HTML and History Lessons

I wanted to look up the dates that one of our former presidents held office so I went to an authoritative source to get the info. Unfortunately the web page with the list of official presidential terms was in TWO COLUMNS that did not lend itself easily to saving into a text file. ARGH!!!

More than an hour later, I finally got the info into just one column of text and after going thru all the trouble of weeding out HTML commands such as script, font, table, etc. I wanna preserve just the "plain facts" for anyone else looking for the list. So here it is:
